The Coaching team…

Following a good year, seeing Eagles pick up the SADVA Indoor cup, runners up in the Mixed SADVA Indoor league, the men’s team finishing 3rd and the club entering two teams into the Sandbanks tournament, a strong Eagles team ventured to the annual Roke outdoor tournament held in the beautiful IBM Hursley grounds.

A tricky pool had us teamed up against the mighty Cheltenham and Gloucester and the scary sounding 44 Caliber. We also had to face BVC International and Salisbury.

Losing our opener narrowly against BVC, we produced a superb display to defeat the very strong Cheltenham and Gloucester side. Sadly our form dipped and we lost to 44 Caliber. Salisbury was really not a contest as we easily won this tie with our Captain, Clarissa cleverly rotating our 7 person squad.

We were pitched into the third of five Divisions (only missing out by 3 points for Division two)

The three division games turned out to be less competitive as, despite energy levels fading, particularly amongst the older fraternity we won all games easily to lift the trophy.
